We were honored to have Dr. Ben Carson on campus for our Family Chapel today! His story of overcoming early adversity and ultimately yielding his gifts to be used by the Lord was a powerful testimony of the providence & faithfulness of God. A recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest civilian honor, Dr. Carson's resume is also peppered with accolades across the fields of neuroscience and pediatric neurosurgery. He has founded and currently leads the American Cornerstone Institute whose mission is to preserve our country's four cornerstones of faith, liberty, community, and life. Dr. Carson and CCS share the belief that a Biblical foundation and view that everyone is made in the image of God are vital to the long-term success of not just individuals, but our nation as a whole. It was an amazing privilege to have such a world renowned guest who so closely aligns with our values and mission here at CCS!
