Family Chapel is always a highlight of the year at CCS! Twice a year we come together on campus: all students, all grades, all teachers, all staff, and parents to worship, to hear God's Word, and to celebrate God's goodness together as one big family! Our Family Chapel this fall was focused on “Gratitude." Gratitude means "to be thankful," "to show appreciation for." Parents were able to participate by writing something they were grateful for on a Gratitude Wall which were then displayed in the halls at school. Younger elementary students described what they thought it meant "to be thankful" and told us some things for which they were thankful, including their dog, their parents, their church, and God. Older elementary students and their parents competed in a game of Thanksgiving Trivia in which we learned some interesting facts. Our student chapel band, along with some of our elementary students, led us in praise and worship. How sweet it was to worship all together and sing praises of gratitude to God! Our Middle & High School students read essays that they had written answering the prompt: "Who in Your Life Are You Thankful For and Why?" Students wrote about their parents, grandparents, teachers, friends, and youth pastors who have poured into their lives. Hundreds of people gathered in one place, unified together as families and as the CCS Family, to express Gratitude to God and for God! As we near Thanksgiving Day, let's remember all that we have to be thankful for and why. And let's show appreciation for God because of who He is and what He's done for us!
