Our third graders recently wrote persuasive essays proposing some new school rules. They worked in groups to turn their essays into commercials and then they presented their commercials to Mrs. Kitty. The rules they proposed were: wear caps to school, bring toys to school, have elementary nap time, have elementary bistro, have longer lunch time, start school later, and bring pets to school. They were so excited to hear that Mrs. Kitty plans to present some of their ideas to Mrs. Heisler, and possibly get their rules passed! Marlow Mills said, "The commercial was really fun to do. I hope we get to have some new school rules!" Mrs. Womack said, "I am so proud of these students! They came up with their own ideas for the rules and commercials, and worked super hard in their groups. They had very little guidance from me, and received constructive criticism very well. I'm excited to see if any of their ideas come to fruition!”

Our new 3D printer at CCS is equipping students with skills in design, formatting, and coding. As they use the printer, students learn to plan, test, and reshape their ideas in order to produce a successful final print. They are rewarded with a finished product they can hold. This helps students develop skills for future jobs while encouraging growth in creativity.

The week before Spring Break was an incredible time focusing on the Crusader Way (Excellence, Growth, Leadership, Discipleship, and Community) as our students grew in Christ together.

From fun competitions that highlighted special talents like photography, poetry, and artistic ability, to exciting team competition games, it was a week full of energy, connection, and truth. Our students were challenged to grow, be intentional, and keep their focus on what truly matters.

We’re so thankful for the memories made and the impact this week had on our CCS family.

Congratulations to Wyatt Grubbs, the 2026 Division V State Champion, in the 242lb weight class!

Wyatt set a new Division V squat record with an incredible 640lb lift and tied the total state record with a 1,530lb total.

2026 Senior Spotlight!

The Literary Rally results are in!
This year, 25 CCS students competed in 28 subjects, and 16 placed, with two students earning multiple awards. We are incredibly proud of all our Crusaders for their hard work and dedication.
State qualifiers will compete at Louisiana State University on April 17.

Our students did an incredible job representing CCS at the District Literary Rally!

This academic competition brings together top students from across the region, and we are so proud of the hard work and dedication our Crusaders displayed.
