During chapel today, CCS high school students had the privilege of hearing from District Judge Jeff Joyce as part of the Judges in the Classroom Program. This program is designed to enhance the law-related education of our youth and instill values, generate goals, and foster personal responsibility in youth and young adults.

K5 had a cool time learning with Sneezy the Snowman!
Students explored solids, liquids, and gases through a hands-on melting snowman activity. They also made Snowman Soup—once to practice math skills and once to enjoy as a tasty treat! Learning is always more fun when it’s interactive (and delicious)!

Our 5th graders had the joy of assisting our K5 students with their 2026 prayer requests—modeling leadership, kindness, and hearts for prayer.

This week, our 2nd grade class welcomed Mrs. Cindy George from the Children’s Coalition, who led a hands-on lesson connecting the Parable of the Sower we’ve been studying in Bible class. Students learned how our hearts should be like good soil as she brought the lesson to life with real plants, explaining how they grow and which parts of plants we eat. To top it off, students even got to taste-test broccoli!

CCS Spelling Bee Highlights!
Our annual Spelling Bee kicked off with 52 talented students from 4th–8th grade, and after 9 intense rounds, we proudly crowned our top spellers!
This event is always a favorite on campus—parents fill the room, faculty gathers to cheer, and students from many grades come to support their friends. We love seeing our school community come together in such a fun and meaningful way.
🏆 1st Place: Carson Williams
🥈 2nd Place: Judah Brown
🥉 3rd Place: Ryder Brown
Congratulations to our winners and a huge thank you to every student who participated! We are so proud of each of you!

We welcomed Lyndsey Sykes from Life Choices Pregnancy Resource Center as we observe Sanctity of Life Month.

Our 4th graders have been hard at work campaigning for Class President! Each candidate prepared and delivered speeches not only to their classmates, but also to our Middle School and High School students.
To make the experience even more authentic, students participated in a full voting setup — complete with a voting booth, ballot cards, and a ballot box.
We love providing hands-on learning opportunities that build confidence, leadership, and real-world understanding! Great job, 4th grade!

At CCS, we believe in developing the whole child — mind, body, and spirit.
We are blessed to offer a variety of clubs that allow students to grow their God-given gifts, try new skills, and build meaningful friendships in a Christ-centered environment.
From creative and hands-on activities to faith-filled opportunities, our clubs give students meaningful ways to learn, serve, and thrive together.

Our 3rd graders loved learning from local Firemen last semester! 🚒 From fire safety and escape plans to seeing the fire truck up close, students gained valuable knowledge and a greater appreciation for the brave men and women who serve our community every day.

Our 4th graders wrapped up their third novel of the year, The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, in the most magical way—by watching the movie and enjoying some of the foods mentioned in the story!
This classic tale teaches courage, kindness, and doing what’s right. Through the characters’ choices, students see how forgiveness and self-sacrifice can overcome fear, and how even small acts of bravery can make a big difference.

Our K4 friends enjoyed a joyful, Christmas-themed field trip to the Children’s Museum earlier this month. ❄️🎄 We loved watching them explore, learn, and celebrate the wonder of the season together!
