Are you excited for Homecoming Spirit Week from November 27th to December 1st? All grades are encouraged to participate in spirit week by dressing up! Here are the spirit days for the week: - Monday: America Day Show your love for the USA by wearing red, white, and blue! You can also wear anything patriotic – think stars and stripes, or clothes with the American flag on them. - Tuesday: Rhyme without Reason Duo Day Get creative with your partner, and dress up as two things that rhyme! For example, you could dress up as a cat and a hat or a bee and a key. The possibilities are endless! - Wednesday: Jersey Day Show your love for your favorite sports team by wearing their jersey! It could be a football, basketball, or soccer jersey – whatever you like. - Thursday: Pajama Day Who doesn't love a day you can wear your pajamas to school? Wear your coziest pajamas and get ready for a comfy day. - Friday: Crusader Spirit Day Show your school spirit by wearing anything with the school logo on it! You can also wear the school colors – maroon, gray and white. Let's show our school spirit!

What a night it was! Our recent family discipleship night was a huge success, thanks to the insights shared by our special guest, Clint Davis. Davis, an expert in child safety and protection, spoke at length about the effects of technology on our children and how we can set appropriate boundaries to protect them. It was an incredible opportunity for parents to engage with such an experienced professional and learn about the latest trends and best practices in child safety. Davis's presentation was informative and engaging, and the feedback we received from attendees was overwhelmingly positive. For those who missed the event, don't worry - we're planning to host Clint Davis again soon, so you'll have another chance to hear from him. Watch for more information. We can't wait to see you there!

2023 Crusader Way Homecoming Court! These students were selected as those who represent each of our classes in fostering community, pursuing discipleship, excellence, growth, and leadership.

CCS Second graders dissected owl pellets in their class today. The activity helped students understand the food chain and the interdependence of animal species. The unit's goal was to develop a love and appreciation for the natural world and inspire students to be good stewards of the environment. Mrs. Wren & Mrs. Jones led the activity, which was engaging and exciting for the students.

There will be no sibling pictures for the fall pictures. One flyer is specifically for K4, and the other is for grades K5-11th. 

**TOMORROW MORNING** Grandparents’ Breakfast is tomorrow, September 8th 7:00 am until 8:30 am in the RDFC Gym. Students will not be allowed to check out for this event. Students will need to be dropped off at the RDFC with their grandparents for breakfast. Grandparents will check students in at the front office after breakfast.

Our student and faculty safety is a top priority at CCS. Our staff is undergoing security training throughout the school year.

Today, Bill Petrus of TP Outdoors Monroe visited our elementary students to let them experience alligator eggs hatching! He talked about nesting, hatching, and all that goes with the process. Some of the teachers were able to open the eggs and pull the baby alligators out! The students loved every second of it and were so excited!
