The week before Spring Break was an incredible time focusing on the Crusader Way (Excellence, Growth, Leadership, Discipleship, and Community) as our students grew in Christ together.
From fun competitions that highlighted special talents like photography, poetry, and artistic ability, to exciting team competition games, it was a week full of energy, connection, and truth. Our students were challenged to grow, be intentional, and keep their focus on what truly matters.

Congratulations to Wyatt Grubbs, the 2026 Division V State Champion, in the 242lb weight class!
Wyatt set a new Division V squat record with an incredible 640lb lift and tied the total state record with a 1,530lb total.

The Literary Rally results are in!
This year, 25 CCS students competed in 28 subjects, and 16 placed, with two students earning multiple awards. We are incredibly proud of all our Crusaders for their hard work and dedication.
State qualifiers will compete at Louisiana State University on April 17.

2026 Senior Spotlight!
At Claiborne Christian School, everything we do is rooted in our mission and guided by our vision.
The Juniors wrapped up their WWII chapter with a special presentation. Mr. Jowers shared about his grandfather’s role in World War II and showed photos of the medals and historical artifacts his grandfather brought home from Germany. When people share personal stories, they help bring history to life.
Upon finishing The Great Gatsby, our juniors honored Jay Gatsby with a a beautifully somber funeral, complete with eulogies, a sermon, food, and a gravestone. We mourned not only Jay himself, but also the sometimes-corrupted American Dream he so desperately pursued.
Daisies were placed in the coffin as we reflected on Gatsby’s pursuit of wealth and his forbidden love. Though the man may be gone, the lessons will live on in each of our modern lives.

Last week we celebrated 101 days of school with so many spots, so many smiles, and 101 days of learning and growing at CCS! We love celebrating milestones with our Crusaders.

During chapel today, CCS high school students had the privilege of hearing from District Judge Jeff Joyce as part of the Judges in the Classroom Program. This program is designed to enhance the law-related education of our youth and instill values, generate goals, and foster personal responsibility in youth and young adults.
K5 had a cool time learning with Sneezy the Snowman!
Students explored solids, liquids, and gases through a hands-on melting snowman activity. They also made Snowman Soup—once to practice math skills and once to enjoy as a tasty treat! Learning is always more fun when it’s interactive (and delicious)!
