Our Juniors and Seniors recently attended the NELA College Fair, where they had the opportunity to meet with representatives from post-secondary institutions across Louisiana and the surrounding region. The event allowed students to explore various academic and career pathways, connect with knowledgeable advisors, and begin planning for their futures.
Several students shared their experiences:
Beaux said, "I spoke to ULM representatives about how kinesiology majors can pursue many different careers. I learned I could potentially become a personal trainer at a gym."
Bella shared, "I really enjoyed the fair we went to today! It expanded my viewpoint on many colleges I was considering, and I got to speak to knowledgeable representatives."
Candice commented, “I enjoyed talking with the people at the ULM Arts table. They spoke highly of the art of dance and shared great things about their program and company.”
Kenzie said, "I talked to the ULM Psychology Department. They were extremely welcoming and gave me a lot of good insight on what psychology at ULM is like."
Meaghan added, "I spoke to a representative from the LA Tech table. He said that Tech has one of the best business programs, not only in Louisiana, but in the U.S."
The fair proved to be an inspiring and informative experience for our students as they continue exploring their post-secondary options and preparing for life after high school.

Each month our Middle and High School students turn in Crusader Way Tickets when they are caught demonstrating our core Crusader Way values. From these tickets, we draw several names and those students are invited to enjoy a special lunch with Coach Brown!
We are incredibly proud of how our students continue to rise to the occasion and consistently embody what it means to live the Crusader Way.
Our Elementary students are recognized quarterly, with their names and accomplishments proudly displayed on the Crusader Way board.

đźŽâś¨ Schoolhouse Rock LIVE at Strauss Theatre! 🎶
Our 3rd and 4th graders had an amazing time watching Schoolhouse Rock come to life on stage! This fun and educational play teaches lessons in math, grammar, science, and history through catchy songs our students already know and love.
4th grader, Allie Carter, said it best:
🗣️ “My favorite part was when the actors sang The Preamble, and our entire 4th-grade class started singing along because we had just learned it!”
What an unforgettable way to connect classroom learning to the real world! 💡❤️

Katina Brown, our high school English teacher, recently attended the BJU conference as part of our summer teacher trip. Upon her return, she shared key takeaways from the event.
"Renton Rathbun, one of our conference speakers, said, “We devalue the Glory of God and value the glory of us.” This helped me see the deeper issue at the core of disbelief. Technology is teaching our students to publicly expose their lives for affirmation. The cure for this self-inflation is learning to acknowledge God’s greatness, goodness, and worthiness of worship. The world tells us it’s insane to believe the Bible is inspired by God, and unfortunately, many Christian schools try to combat that by validating the Bible with archaeology. We don’t need a religion class that teaches students to rely on trinkets found in the desert to confirm their faith; we need a reality class, and the reality is the image of God makes you valuable, not your likes or follows."

Erin Thompson, our new 4th-grade teacher, recently attended the BJU conference during our summer trip for educators. This unforgettable experience provided her with invaluable insights that are sure to inspire both her teaching and her students. We are excited to see how she incorporates what she learned into the classroom this year.
Erin stated, "During the BJU conference, I experienced a complete shift in my perspective on teaching from a biblical standpoint. I have learned that Christian education is much more than just integrating the Bible into all subjects. Rather, God's Word serves as the foundation for the curriculum itself.
Defending the Christian faith (apologetics) was the focus of many seminar sessions at BJU. One verse that was referenced frequently throughout the week was 1 Peter 3:15, which calls us as Christians to be ready to give an account for the hope we have in Christ Jesus. The ability to answer questions with evidence rooted in scripture has greatly influenced my approach as an educator. In turn, this will shape my lessons, my classroom, and my students."

**FLASHBACK** Mrs. Parker's 4th Grade class participated in "Teach the Teacher Day." Students were tasked with creating lesson plans and presenting a lesson on a topic of their choice to both the teacher and their classmates. After the lesson, they were required to provide an assessment to the class. Allowing students to take on the roles of creators and leaders in the classroom offers significant benefits, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
