Happy Thanksgiving from CCS to you and your family! Share a photo of someone you are thankful for this year.

The Two Penny Food Drive was an incredible success! Thanks to the generous contributions of our dedicated Crusader families, we managed to fill an entire trailer with over 3,800 items of food donations. It's heartwarming to see our community come together to support those in need, and we truly appreciate everyone who participated by donating or spreading the word. Your efforts have made a significant impact, and we are grateful for your kindness and support!

The Bracelet Club is creating ornaments for the City of West Monroe Christmas Tree Exhibition. They’ve chosen a glittery "Merry & Bright" theme to showcase their bubbly personalities and the joy of Christ! The trees will be on display at City Hall starting Monday, December 2nd.

We are truly grateful for the opportunity to come together for another wonderful Thanksgiving Lunch. It’s such a joy to see our CCS family gather, share stories, and enjoy each other’s company. This year’s celebration was filled with delicious food, laughter, and meaningful connections. Thank you all for your contributions and for making this celebration the best one yet! We look forward to many more memorable moments together.

Mrs. Bostick had her students write a story about how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Afterward, she demonstrated their steps using bread, peanut butter, and jelly. This helped the students understand the importance of including detailed instructions in their writing.

During chapel on Thursday, November 7, Middle and High School students had the honor of hearing from two veterans: Master Sergeant Philip John Staten and First Sergeant Brett Bennett. These decorated service members shared their experiences of serving our country selflessly.
They reminded us that Jesus sacrificed His life for us so that we may have eternal life. The veterans also challenged all of us to serve the Kingdom of God and to make sacrifices for others in our daily lives.
As we honor all veterans on Veterans Day for their sacrifices, let us also remember to live sacrificially for the Kingdom of God!

Book Fair - November 18th to 22nd, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

Mrs. Parker’s 4th grade class held a class president election to go along with the presidential election. Students made campaign signs and hung them all over campus and filled out voter registration cards all while learning the importance of voting. On Monday, they presented their campaign speeches to their class. On Tuesday, they were given the opportunity to give their speeches to junior high and high school classes. Students from all classes were allowed to vote. A voting booth and ballot box were created to try and give them a full voting experience. The winner was Genevieve Taylor!

Important Dates for CCS in November

Dreamer Jowers - We’ve spent the past three days at the ACSI Flourishing Schools Conference learning from so many gifted speakers! This included learning how to ‘regain Biblical clarity in a secular world’ and how to help students develop a confident faith. We discussed ways to engage students in the classroom as we teach. Lastly, we looked at what it meant to be ‘flourishing’ individuals as well as a ‘flourishing’ school! We look forward to sharing these insights with all our staff as we continue to partner with family and church to disciple our students!
"May the Lord cause you to flourish, both you and your children." Psalm 115:14
